Cyboard Imprint: Finally, a hot-swappable curved keywell!
I got my hands on the Cyboard Imprint, which was sponsored, a unique ergonomic keyboard that really caught my attention with its hot-swappable curved keywell design - something I hadn't seen before in the ergo keyboard space. What made this keyboard special wasn't just the curved layout, but the fact that it's custom-fitted to your hand measurements. When ordering, you actually need to send photos of your hands with a bank card for scale, so they can position everything perfectly for your anatomy.
The typing experience was notably different from other ergonomic keyboards I've tried. While boards like the Glove80 require some hand movement to reach all keys, the Imprint's customized layout meant I could reach everything without shifting my palm position. The aggressive pinky stagger was particularly distinctive, though it did take a few weeks to fully adjust to this unique layout.
One interesting discovery I made was about switch selection - initially tried Kailh speed switches but found them too light for this board, leading to accidental keypresses. Switching to firmer tactile switches made a big difference. The keyboard also came with some nice features like dual trackballs, RGB lighting, and (for an extra fee) premium build quality with a metal base plate.
