This 3D MSP should feel more impressive
It still boggles me that you can effectively few-shot stuff like this with Claude. The 3.7 variant pretty much one shot this:
Stuff like this may have taken me a proper afternoon before, especially with unfamiliar tools but now it can be done in a few minutes. That feels like a big productivity boost but at the same time it is making me realize how many demos have suddenly become "less cool". If these sorts of things can be zero-shot, they start feeling a little bit like slop.
Something about this is starting to frustrate me. I still like to study what Claude generates and something about not being able to fully appreciate what is in front of me is breaking my heart a little.
That said, Claude had a bit of trouble scaling this idea. If you add more points it starts to crack because it is doing a brute force to calculate the minimums panning tree. So there's still some manual improvements that might give me back that afternoon of programming.
